Yehudis' Granola Bars


  • 3 c rolled oats
  • 1 scant c white whole wheat flour or other whole grain flour
  • 1/2 c peanut or other nut butter
  • 1/2 c wheat germ
  • 2/3 c honey( or more or less, depending on taste)
  • 1/2 c unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 - 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • chocolate chips
  • spread into pan evenly and bake at 350 for 17-20 min, or until set.
